Meadham Kirchhoff, fashion cult designers and personal London favourites, surprised their fans ( again) with a totally Black and White collection.

“I don’t know, I didn’t have a theme this time,” said Meadham. “I tried to make product, just things that were about my intrinsic taste, in black and white. I suppose it comes back to an old Courtney Love flyer with two little girls in black velvet dresses—and my obsession, at the moment, with wanting to be perfect; a perfect homemaker, baking perfect cakes, having a clean home.”

This lovely declaration is what art often means to its creator: a simple reflection of life and nothing more.

Echoes of the iconic Hole and Courtney Love velvet dress are all over the collection, but it is also full of Retro French Maids, Fanny and Alexander, Victorian Ladies, Death in Venice, Ballerinas, Fetish housewives and Coco Chanel lookalikes.

This is the original Hole flyer, the title of this post comes from this as well, it's a Sir Thomas More's quote ( lawyer, social philosopher, author, statesman, and noted Renaissance humanist)
