This should be my diary, but I don't have so much to write.
I'm spending the most of my days at home, I could blame the stormy weather, but also the fact that I have my own studio here and a crazy life schedule.
My New Year's resolutions include traveling more, being more dynamic, trying to avoid winter blues and obviously keep on blogging!
This blog is my life line, I have met my soulmates, dreamed to visit many Countries and learned that there is still hope for human race.
(Bombastic but true!).
That's why I still keep it secret with most of the people I know in real life, it's a kind of hidden spot where I seek solace and shelter.
This post is dedicated to my friend Sarah from Misfit Vintage and this is my story:
An unexpected surprise flew from a faraway land to my house, suddenly the rainy day turned into a sparkle and bright one, glitters started to spill from the mysterious packet and echoes from an exotic place brought me immeasurable joy and the gigantic desire to go soon for an adventure in Australia and meet my separated at birth twin...
A typical example of the fabulous Australian natives.
This is my FABULARSE parcel of Joy from Sarah:
Two vintage frocks, a scarf, a brooch and lots of love..
Me wearing
maxi dress: present from Sarah
shirt: Blumarine (old collection)
belt: Vintage
floral crown: present from Krista
pink beaded bracelet: present from Lucy
bangles: antique market
hat: Anna Sui's inspired made by my mother
Edward Scissorhands necklace: my DIY

"A typical example of the fabulous Australian natives" if that is true then Australia is the coolest place on the planet, no contest!
ReplyDeleteI started my first blog back in 2007 and have had a few blog incarnations since. I have to admit that I have a somewhat "fraught relationship" with blogging and social media in general, maybe it's because I simply cannot stop my sporadic antisocial tendencies from bleeding through. Sometimes I am hyper enthusiastic about it and want to take part in the conversation and sometimes I just want to hide away in the corner and just be an onlooker.
You and Sarah are a pair of absolute stunners and do indeed look as if you could have been separated at birth. If blogging is anything, it is a remarkable tool for complete strangers to connect and meet kindred spirits from all over the globe. I love the print on your new dress, you look fabulous...xXx
Your gorgeous/she's gorgeous-- you both have kick @ss style- totally separated at birth! Love the pics soooo much, way cool. I was reluctant about social media in general and was a blog lurker up until last year when I decided it was time to actually open up and connect with the people I admired and found so interesting online :) I am so much happier knowing all these amazing people (like you & Sarah!) are out there doing their thing, making the world more awesome <3
ReplyDeleteOh yay!!! This post has everything: my sister from another mister looking DIVINE in her fabularse new vintage dress, ME holding hands with Nick C and unicorns - what the hell else is there in the world??
ReplyDeleteMi amor, you are beautiful, as always. And I definitely agree - I feel more connected in this world since I have started blogging and found you amazing women. I am so thankful for your friendship and inspiration and art!
we'll meet, I just know it. Don't you?
Love you more than cheesecake! Sister Sarah xxx
I totally know what you mean. Why is to so hard to find like minded people in "real" life? It's like everybody has their guard up. I can't even begin to say how wonderful it's been meeting all the woman I've meet since I started my blog last summer. If I said "Nick Cave" none of the people I know here would know who that is. I've come to the conclusion that I have nothing in common with the woman here that are in my age group. Viva blogging!
ReplyDeleteOh you look a beauty in that dress my dear. Such colourful star-inspired loveliness. Sarah is looking very moody in that pic there too. Oh my heart skips a beat for Nick every time. I'm with you on the secret blog. It's so cathartic to have such an outlet and to know that you are not the only weirdo out there xxx
ReplyDeleteAww, this is so sweet! And I love how you decorated the photos. They're beautiful! I know what you mean about connecting with people on Blogger. Like thorne garnet said, it can be hard to find like minded people in everyday life. But, that's why I'm thankful for Blogger as well. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that last photo!
ReplyDeleteSarah is a treasure! She sent you some beautiful gifts, you look amazing in the dress, and your photos are always a joy to behold.
ReplyDeleteIt's true, blogging certainly does bring you together with some amazing women, I am so glad I took the plunge and "met" everyone, including you, lovely Ila!
So THAT'S who Sarah met at the speed dating? Who knew Nick Cave would be there! Sign me up! xxxx
You are both such unique beautiful beings and the world is brighter for having you both in it! I think this dress is crazy good, the print is so yummy and I love the shirt you have on underneath! I think we are a bunch of kindred spirits here and we are part of the same wacky tribe! Our connection is real and I think lasting. I love that through this world we have all created we are spreading love and receiving it by just being ourselves.

How beautiful! Happy shaking off those winter blues. You're too creative to let days like that interrupt your flow for too long. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletegreat post, lovely!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with all you said about your resolutions and what your blog means to you. Mine isn't completely secret but I'm very vague about it to anyone who does know I'm doing it, they're not really sure what I'm up to I think! Your images are beautiful as always, Clare is right, they're very editorial, you should have your own magazine or a book or something, I don't know what! And I've always had a soft spot for old Nick. Sarah's presents to you are fantabulous too. xx
ReplyDeleteHow you color up our world, sweet Ila popster. What wonderful gifts- I see you are literally dressed in love.
ReplyDeleteI realized I haven't visited here in so long! Love the dress! You look gorgeous :)
